The process of jewelry processing is complex, it’s not about kneading mud. If you place an order today, you want to ship it tomorrow. We have to wait slowly to produce perfect accessories one by one. Step 1: Design the blueprint. The designer first envisions and draws a sketch of the work, and completes the design draft with pencil and watercolor. This process takes at least a few days, and at most several months to take shape.
Step 2: Hand carved wax plate. The craftsman refers to the design drawings to manually carve the wax plate, which is the most demanding process in jewelry production. The wax plate must be smooth and flawless, with reasonable structure of each part and accurate positioning and size of the gemstones. This process depends on the complexity, ranging from one or two days to several days. It is a delicate task, and nowadays, handmade jewelry is becoming increasingly rare, with most using computer CAD software for drawing. But for some special or animal shaped jewelry, it is still advisable to choose a skilled craftsman to manually carve and wax the pattern, as the carved object has a feeling.
Step 3: Reverse mold the ancient lost wax casting method and turn the wax mold into an 18K ring. If it is mass production, then the front wax plate will be made into a silver plate and pressed into a film for mass production of wax molds!
Step 4: Mold holding is entirely done manually, using a specially designed calendar to push back and forth on the surface of the jewelry. This process requires certain skills and techniques.
Step 5: Matching Stones: Based on the jewelry design, manually sort the diamonds or gemstones, select the ones that match the color, cutting, and size, and prepare them for inlaying.
Step 6: Inlay gems, manually inlay each diamond and gemstone, this is a technical task.
Step 7: Polishing: Further polish the metal surface and details with electric gold treatment. Some jewelry requires surface electric gold treatment to make its surface smoother!
Step 8: Quality inspection checks the finished jewelry, and if it is not qualified, it needs to be returned to the previous process and remade.
